【摘要】:Anarticulatingconcreteblockrevetmentsystemiscomprisedofamatrixofindividualconcreteblocksplacedtogethertoformanerosion-resistantrevetmentwithspecifichydraulicperformancecharacteristics.Thesystemincludesafilterlayercompatiblewiththesubsoilwhichallowsinfiltrationandexfiltrationtooccurwhileprovidingparticleretention.Thefilterlayermaybecomprisedofageotextile,properlygradedgranularmedia,orboth.Theconcreteblockswithinthematrixshallbedenseanddurable,andthematrixshallbeflexibleandporous.ACBrevetmentsystemareusedtoprovideerosionprotectiontounderlyingsoilmaterialsfromtheforcesofflowingwater.Thetermx201C;articulating,x201D;asusedinthisstandard,impliestheabilityofindividualconcreteblocksofthesystemtoconformtochangesinsubgradewhileremaininginterconnectedbyvirtueofgeometricinterlock,cables,ropes,geotextiles,geogrids,orcombinationthereof.ThedefinitionofACBrevetmentsystemdoesnotdistinguishbetweeninterlockingandnon-interlockingblockgeometries,betweencable-tiedandnon-cable-tiedsystems,betweenvegetatedandnon-vegetatedsystemsorbetweenmethodsofmanufacturingorplacement.Furthermore,thedefinitiondoesnotrestrictorlimittheblocksize,shape,strength,orlongevity;however,guidelinesandrecommendationsregardingthesefactorsareincorporatedintothisstandard.Blocksareavailableineitheropen-cellorclosed-cellconfigurations.1.1Thepurposeofthistestmethodistoprovidespecificationsforthehydraulictestingoffull-scalearticulatingconcreteblock(ACB)revetmentsystemsundercontrolledlaboratoryconditionsforpurposesofidentifyingstabilityperformanceinsteepslope,high-velocityflows.Thetestingprotocols,includingsysteminstallation,testprocedures,measurementtechniques,analysistechniques,andreportingrequirementsaredescribedinthistestmethod.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.2.1Thegravitationalsystemofinch-poundunitsisusedwhendealingwithinch-poundunits.Inthissystem,thepound(lbf)representsaunitofforce(weight),whiletheunitformassisslugs.Therationalizedslugunitisnotgiven,unlessdynamic(F=ma)calculationsareinvolved.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
